Since 2005, Expressions Photography has been involved in providing images for the Denver affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2006 we stepped up our efforts to support the organization and made a goal of raising $12,500 by Mother’s Day. With the assistance of our wonderful clients, we surpassed that target.

Sandy Puc’, owner of Expressions, is passionate about funding this cause, “I’ve had the privilege of capturing the most precious moments in a family’s life. Working with the Komen Denver Race for the Cure opened my eyes to the heartache families suffer when breast cancer comes into their lives. Many times the battle is lost, and the images we create become the final connection to that loved one.”

Each $10,000 raised goes a long way and will provide 100 mammograms, 10 stereotactic biopsies, 10 rounds of the chemotherapy drug Taxotere, 100 days of hospice care, 140 diagnostic ultrasounds, 200 clinical breast exams, 160 months of Tamoxifen, 100 days of post-surgery home health care, 400 round-trip, door-to-door rides for chemotherapy, 40,000 breast self-exam cards to educate underserved women and 200 clinical breast exams.
